JESUS CANDELAS

EXPERTISE:

Futsal, Football methodology

EXPERIENCE:

Jesus boasts almost 40 years of experience as a Futsal Coach, with stints at Caja Segovia, Interviu Boomerang and the Iran national team. His long list of honours include five Spanish Leagues, four Spanish Cups, five Spanish Supercups, two UEFA Futsal Cups, four Intercontinental Cups, one European Cup Winners’ Cup and Runner Up a the 2014 AFC Futsal Championship.

Jesus is also a Spanish Futsal Course Professor and is a well known football publicist. His own blog about futsal methodology is an important source of information for followers of the sport. Jesus has also contributed to over 300 international workshops about Futsal since 1993.


BENNY MAZUR

EXPERTISE:

Football policy making (national)

EXPERIENCE:

Benny currently holds the role of secretary-general of the Flemish Football Federation.

Following a successful career in grass roots football spanning a number of decades, Benny now specialises in change-management; in particular the implementation of national football strategies for Belgian grassroots football. Together with Bob Browaeys, Benny is one of the driving forces behind the successful reforms in Belgian youth football development.


DR. ANTONIO TRAMULLAS

EXPERTISE:

Sports medicine, Analysis and design of performance & medical departments

EXPERIENCE:

Antonio is a Spanish medical sports doctor and former elite basketball player. After his career as an athlete, Antonio was sports doctor at FC Barcelona, chief medical officer of the Euroleague, advisor of AFC Ajax Amsterdam and national team doctor of Saudi-Arabia. Antonio currently holds the position of Chief Health Centre at the Aspire Academy in Qatar.


PROF. GEIR JORDET

EXPERTISE:

Football performance psychology

EXPERIENCE:

Geir Jordet, PhD, is currently a sports psychology professor at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences, specialising in psychology applied to football.

Gier is also Director of Psychology at the Norwegian Centre of Excellence (owned by the Norwegian Premier League), where he advises clubs in the top two professional leagues, as well as Norway’s national teams, on all topics related to psychology.

Geir also works as a sports psychology consultant for athletes at Olympic and professional levels. Over the past 15 years, he has consulted professional football teams and players in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, England, Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Between 2005 and 2008, Geir worked with a number of Dutch national teams (most notably the U20 and U21), helping them prepare for the pressure of international tournaments. Gier has a PhD in football psychology, with a focus on perceptual expertise in football and he holds a master’s degree in sport psychology. Geir’s native language is Norwegian, he is also fluent in English and has a good command of Dutch.


RICK MENICK

EXPERTISE:

Medical analysis and services, Medical department design

EXPERIENCE:

Rick was responsible for the Medical Department of AFC Ajax Amsterdam between 2011 and 2015, where he implemented a new facility and reformed the medical department structure. Rick boasts over 20 years of experience in sports physiotherapeutic support of elite athletes. Rick has been involved in two Olympic Games and several World Championships, and has treated numerous elite athletes including Kenenisa Bekele, Denise Lewis, Andre Casey and Thomas Dvorcak.


CHRISTIAN TAMMINGA

EXPERTISE:

Physical performance training, Training equipment

EXPERIENCE:

Chris is a former world class pole vaulter. Following his extensive career as an athlete, Chris specialised in performance coaching and now trains both elite athletes and football players. During his four-year stint as a performance coach at AFC Ajax Amsterdam, he trained talented players on an individual basis, helping them to make the transition into the first team. Moreover, Chris is a specialist in the design, construction and supply of state-of-the-art performance centres.


ROY RAMDJANAMSINGH

EXPERTISE:

Personal leadership, Communication

EXPERIENCE:

Roy specializes in interpersonal communication and behavioral change. He was a team development advisor to the AFC Ajax Amsterdam youth academy. Roy designed and implemented a system that reveals and advances team communication patterns and behaviors. He also helped implement effective team communication strategies for the Dutch National Football Federation. His tailor made approach caters for team and individual strengths and development needs.


STEVE LAWRENCE

EXPERTISE:

Architecture, Data analysis

EXPERIENCE:

After graduating from Bath University (B.Sc. 1978 and B.Arch. 1980), Steve became an architect for the private practice Carrick, Howell & Lawrence. Steve specialises in the design of learning environments and was the architect behind the original master plan for the London Olympics.

Steve is also a researcher into the Relative Age Effect in football, and has been published a number of times for his work on the influence of the effect on football players (‘The Age Advantage in Association Football’). Steve is the inventor of the ‘Average Team Age’ rule for team sports.

Working in his role as a consultant for AFC Ajax Amsterdam, Steve designed the “School of the Future”, an intelligent school building for the Ajax Youth Academy. Steve is also a graduate from the Cruyff Institute in Amsterdam (Master International Sports Management 2012) and founder of the Football Analytics Lab™.


LYNNE LAWRENCE

EXPERTISE:

Academic education

EXPERIENCE:

Lynne has been the Executive Director of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) since June 2008. Prior to this, she held the positions of AMI General Secretary ad interim (2007), head of the AMI Human Resources Committee and Director of Training and Schools at the Maria Montessori Training Organisation (MMTO), known today as the Maria Montessori Institute.

In her role as AMI Executive Director, Lynne works to promote AMI’s involvement in Montessori educational projects in developing countries, alongside the many other areas of the association’s work, which includes managing global teacher training programmes and ancillary Montessori programmes, and research and development supported by the AMI board, committees and staff.
